Year 4 Immersion Day – Natural Disasters
As an exciting introduction to our Natural Disasters topic, Year 4 took part in an immersion day with a carousel of engaging activities. Children explored volcanoes and other natural disasters through a range of subjects. In English, they created volcanic poetry inspired by powerful imagery and descriptive language. In History, they researched significant natural disasters from the past to understand their impact on people and places. During Music, children explored vibrations and how sound travels, linking this to the rumbling of natural events. In Art, children learned key volcano vocabulary and used paint to create their own volcano artwork.
