Geography in Year 6

This term, Year 6 have been extending their knowledge of the world. They have used maps and atlases to identify the countries that make up North and South America. They have also used lines of longitude and latitude to identify the coordinates of a range of countries. In addition to this, children have used a range of keys to explain the following information:

- capital cities 

- mountain ranges 

- rivers

We have also been learning about the human and physical features that make up North and South America and the climate of a range of countries.
