The theme across the school this year is 'Wonderful World of Knowledge'.
This means every class has been given a different subject from the curriculum to explore, interpret and represent through art!
Our subject is PE. During our exploration of PE, we will be focussing on dance.
Ballet is a traditional form of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. Often, you may see ballet mixed with contemporary dance moves - these performances often look less traditional and move away from traditional ballet clothes.
Today Maple class had "An introduction to ballet" class.
In Maths later, they used some of their ballet moves in their use of symmetry.
