The following day we calculated the area of the playground and decided that we had enough space for 6 events. We then had a class vote to see which events were most popular so we could include those. We tallied up the votes and represented this information in a bar chart.
Sports Day needs equipment and for a subsequent activity we had to buy the equipment we needed for our events. However, we could not spend freely as we had a budget to stick to. We used our addition and subtraction skills to stay within budget.
We had a great week and learned about how maths is involved in everyday life!
We also cannot wait for Sports day!
