Year 6 (Elm Class) - Music

Year 6 have been learning about 'Serialism' in our Music lessons: this is where musicians sought to have freedom from tune and melody. They wanted to explore the different ways that you could get people to react to music. We have been working together to compose our own piece of music using a serialist approach. We will eventually have composed the row, retrograde, inverse and inverse retrograde. This week, we composed the retrograde and use xylophones to perform together as a class.
