Working with clay is a messy business...but it is also very fun!
In year 4, we are making our final products - clay pots that have to be strong, sturdy and be able to contain a liquid or a solid. We are making a variety of pots, some with handles and others with lids. Some of us are using the 'coiling' method, which involves coiling long tubular pieces of clay on top of each other to create a pot. It is tricky, but helps us to create a variety of shapes.
