Year 5 carried on with their musical learning about scales and chords this week.
They created short question and answer phrases, working in pairs. One person played and accompaniment on the Ukulele, and the other improvised a short melody on the xylophone to make a 4 bar phrase. One person worked with the notes from a C Major Scale, the other from an A minor.
We used music from Indiana Jones and Star Wars to compare how using different sets of notes can change the character of music.
