We have started to learn about how scales and chords relate to each other in music. We have used the Ukulele to play a chord, and the xylophone to play the scale that goes with it.
We have listened to contrasting pieces of music by John Williams to discuss how a composer might use instruments, dynamics, rhythms and major or minor scales, to create different atmospheres in film music.
