Our Year 4 students became Mini Chefs this week, making delicious cottage pie with a cheesy scone.
They learned key skills like baking, chopping, mixing, and seasoning, turning fresh ingredients into tasty, healthy meals. They were able to put together ingredients to make the cottage pie, as well as combine all the ones for their scones. They then kneaded the mixture and rolled it out, to then cut it out to create their scone.
At the end they then sold it themselves, not only advertising it but counting the money and finding the correct change which they did amazingly.
It was a fun and tasty way to learn about healthy eating and they have all show fantastic teamwork! Well done, Oak Tree!
