Children took part in The portrait Gallery’s project called Faces and Places. Children were shown a range of portraits of famous people who have a connection with Greenwich from Queen Elizabeth the first, to the author Malorie Blackman. Children shared their ideas about the portraits, drew their own versions before finally using them as inspiration to create their own self portraits.
The children were excited to know that all the portraits used are available to see for free in the National Portrait Gallery and they would love to visit the gallery with their sketchbooks.
