Year 4 - History Hackers

Year 4 have been exploring the Roman era by first adding the Romans to a timeline of ancient civilizations they have already learned about, such as the ancient Greeks and ancient Egyptians.

In our new topic, Year 4 have been looking into famous emperors and the invasion of Britain. They have been matching information to some famous emperors that we will explore further in our topic, such as Emperor Hadrian (famous for building that big wall).

We then created a timeline of important moments in history and looked at how the Romans fit into this. We were surprised by how long ago the Romans were.

In future lessons, we will explore how they have impacted Britain and what inventions we still use today.
