Acorn Class- Arts Week- Ballet

Continuing our learning linked to our Arts Week 'Swan Lake' we focused on created pieces of art linked to ballet. The children used their fine motor skills to thread the lace through a ballet shoe. We created ballerina figures to create our own stories.

We explored the different colours we could create using water colour paints, around a ballerina silhouette.

We used paint to print with our hands to create a ballerina tutu.

Miss Dadds taught us some basic ballets movements. We learnt how to perform the different ballet positions. We enjoyed learning how to describe movements in French, such as plié and jete.

We learnt about the Russian artist Kandinsky, we recreated his work using circles of different sizes.
