Year 2 - Map work in Sycamore Tree

Today, we continued our learning around the world and visited Europe! We located Europe on the world map and talked about how the climate is very different across the continent. We learnt that countries in Northern Europe were much colder than countries in Southern Europe because of their distance away from the equator.

We enjoyed using atlases to search for countries and we talked about what landmarks or features you may find there. Some children shared their own experiences of European countries and how their country is different from England.

Have you ever been to a European country? What was it like? What did you see?
