On Monday 7th October a group of children visited the Guildhall to collect a trophy on behalf of the school for entering into the London Children's Flower Society Summer Competition.
We were very lucky to be presented with the trophy by Alan Titchmarsh who also gave us his autograph!
After the award ceremony the children took part in arts and craft activities and were shown the most successful way to grow a daffodil bulb. We particularly enjoyed making flowers with sandpaper centres, which the children then rubbed with different scents including lavender, orange and lemon to make them smell.
We had a great day and were very excited to share our trophy with the rest of the school when we returned to school.
