Rangoli Patterns in Year 2 Sycamore Tree

This term we have been learning all about Hinduism and the festival of Diwali. We continued our learning by looking at the art form, Rangoli. 

In India, people use ground rice, sand, flour or petals to create colourful patterns on the floor. The purpose of Rangoli is to feel strength and generosity. It is also thought to bring good luck.
