Year 4 Natural History Museum Trip
In Year 4 Geography, we have been learning about earthquakes so this week as part of our learning we visited the Natural History Museum. During the visit, we attended a workshop in which, the children saw a simulation of how earthquakes can occur and how the amplitude can be measured using a seismometer. The readings were then represented on a seismography so the children could see the difference in amplitude of the earthquake. They went on to explore the displays of earthquake and volcanic exhibition as well as experience a real earthquake in an earthquake simulator.
