Year 6 - Electrifying

As part of our topic on electricity, Year 6 have spent this week planning, hypothesising and undertaking investigations relating to static electricity.

Firstly, we had to gain an understanding of what static electricity is and how it works. Taking this knowledge, we created a variety of testable questions relating to making hair stand on end, separating salt and pepper and even bending water! Our aim was to see if we could use static electricity to make these things move.

How successful do you think we were?
