Rocket Rodents!
Over recent weeks, Year 6 have very much enjoyed learning about different materials and their properties.
We learnt about the absorbency of materials by planning and conducting our own experiments based around a fictional scenario - scientists have sent hamsters into space to keep our astronauts company, however, rockets do not have hamster toilets. We worked together to investigate what material would be absorbent enough to solve this issue.
We were able to choose a range of materials to test using pipettes, scales and water. This was a fun task as every pair was able to choose their own method to test the materials, implementing their observational skills to record and analyse their findings.
Below are some pictures of us thoroughly enjoying our learning.
