Art in Year 3

In our Art lessons, Year 3 have been learning about cave paintings. We began this topic by looking at pictures of cave paintings from across the world and completing a 'See, Think, Wonder'. We noticed that most of the humans in cave paintings were hunting animals, and most of the animals were running or leaping. 

We then used sketching pencils to practise shading techniques such as blending, hatching and stippling. Using these techniques, we sketched images of humans and animals seen in cave paintings.
