Taking place on Wednesday 22nd September, World Car free Day is an annual celebration of cities and public life, free from the noise, stress and pollution of cars. This is a fantastic chance to discuss the importance of exercise with your children as well as the impact of cars on the environment.
As a school we celebrated by each class completing a record of how the children came to school. It was fantastic to see so many children walking to school.
We also completed some 'My pledge' bunting. Where the children wrote or drew a picture about how they were going to make a difference to the way they traveled to school or a clean air message In the next few weeks we will be displaying our bunting outside by our main gates to show the community about how we want to make a difference.
