Our text in Reading for the past couple of weeks has been The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. We have enjoyed discussing the dilemmas the children have faced after been stranded in the Amazon Rainforest due to their plane crashing.
This week, we improved our debating skills by sharing our views on various dilemmas, such as ‘Should the children stay at the crash site or travel through the dangerous rainforest to try and find help?’ We used sentence frames to help us explain our views in a positive way!
