This half term, Year 6 are focusing on developing their stitching skills. By the end of the unit, children will have designed, printed and embroidered a leaf.
The pupils have recapped their learning from Year 5 and have added a new stitch to their skill set; they are now able to do a running stitch, a back stitch and a cross stitch.
Next week, they will be linking their science learning to help them design the shape of their leaf and will begin to decide what they will embroider and whether they will add any decorative elements.
