Rhythm + Pitch
Year 6 have started the year by revisiting and extending, some of their Year 5 learning.
Working on the xylophones, then took a rhythm, and added their own pitch choices to create a short melody. They thought about how to make a melody sound like it has a beginning, a high point, and an end - a bit like a musical sentence.
Once they had chosen their note pitches, they wrote the tune out using simple music notation on a single line stave.
