This week, Year 6 have been playing various games to help them remember the names of South American countries. First, we used globes and maps to locate South America and name each country.
Children then played a range of games, including snap, matching pairs, bingo, a version of 21 questions and an adapted version of rock, paper, scissors, to help them remember the names of each country. We transferred this information onto a blank map. The pupils then challenged themselves to label the longitude and latitude references for each country. Next week, children will be learning about the physical features of South America!
