Year 5 are looking at a lot of different musical concepts this term. They are using dance music to find strong beats and they are creating their own musical patterns.
This week they have added their own note pitches to a rhythm to create a short melody. By starting and finishing on the same note pitch, their melodies felt like a musical sentence.
They are learning to play their melodies whilst keeping in time with an ostinato rhythm.
