Year 4 Maths Blog: Place Value Perfection!

This week in Year 4, we have been using a range of resources to 'build' numbers. First, we started with base 10 to create numbers and then we moved on to place value counters. We then challenged ourselves by exploring how many different 4-digit numbers we could make using 4 counters and a place value grid. Finally, we tried to solve this question: Ahmed says. “If the sum of the digits in a number is larger, the value of the number is larger.” Is this always true? Can you answer this?
