Year 3 Build Tension in Forest School!

During our English lessons this term, we have been looking at which features a writer uses to build tension.

One of the features we explored was using 'onomatopoeia' or 'sound words'.

We went to Forest School and set up a shelter, like we did when learning about the Stone Age.

After building our shelter, we took turns making sounds using 'scratch, scrape and rustle' objects. Back in class, we wrote down the sounds and onomatopoeias that we heard on our whiteboards so that we can use them when building our Tale of Fear!
