In our Humanities lessons this week, Year 3 have been learning about Stonehenge. We began by looking at photographs of Stonehenge and discussing what we could see, what we thought these pictures showed and any questions we had.
We then read all about Stonehenge and created a class mind map, using the English Heritage website to find out more. We were really interested in the mystery of how Stone Age humans managed to transport the heavy rocks all the way from Wales!
After a bit more research, we wrote questions that we might ask a prehistoric human about Stonehenge. We then practised ‘hot-seating’, taking turns asking questions (as the interviewer) and answering questions (as a human from the Stone Age).
