Musical Sentences...
Year 5 have been using syncopated rhythms to create melodies. They listened to a Tudor Dance, and worked out the repeated rhythm that it used. The children then added note pitches to that rhythm to improvise their own melodies. They worked in pairs to create longer musical phrases. The children then listened and felt the beat to create a seamless link between person number one and person number 2.
