In English, Year 4 have been reading a text called, Are Canals Dangerous? However, first we had to know what a canal is. We did some research and studied images carefully so we understood their purpose. Then it was time to build!
We put our engineering skills and our communication skills to the test and worked out how to build a canal that was straight and kept the land surrounding it dry! We even tested our canal using small boats to check that they could float along it easily.
