Year One have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes in Maths. We have been naming 2D shapes such as circle, square, rectangle and triangle as well as sorting them according to different properties, including colour and number of sides. We went on a shape hunt around the school to see if we could find objects that were 2D shapes.
We really enjoyed naming 3D shapes and sorting them according to whether they had curved or flat faces. We also used dough and sticks to try and make some 3D shapes.
