Year 4 Poplar - Trip to Greenwich Meridian Line
We went on a great educational visit to Greenwich to see the Prime Meridian line and explore the Royal Observatory and the Maritime Museum. We discovered that Greenwich has a history of setting time for the world and that sailors used to wait for the giant red ball on top of the Observatory to drop at 1pm so that they could set their watches before sailing to other countries. We also enjoyed great views of London that will inspire our information leaflet about Greenwich.
