Our new instructional text in Year 3 is 'How to defeat Medusa'. Today, in order to get a better understanding of the text, we worked in groups of 3 to act out the 'method' section of the text. We took turns as either the narrator, Perseus and Medusa, considering how to use our facial expressions, body language and tone of voice in each role. We discussed the contrast between how the hero and the monster would behave and how we show this with only our bodies.
