This week, children have continued to learn about Evolution and Inheritance by exploring the concept of heredity.
Children learnt about the process of heredity and discussed inherited characteristics. Children are able to distinguish between physical and behavioural characteristics and can describe the type of traits that offspring inherit.
Children used mirrors to look at their own physical features, including their tongue, facial features, hairline and ear shape, to begin to consider the characteristics they inherited from their parents.
Next week, children will be beginning to think about the concept of adaptation in plants and animals.
