Over the last few weeks, Year 2 have been making their own string instruments. We collected our materials, then used our designs to create our instruments using cardboard boxes, coloured paper and glue. Once we were happy with our shape, we added elastic bands for the strings and then attached a handle to our instruments and created a strap or stand for them. We then had to create a hinge by using folded cardboard to allow the stand to open and close. Finally, we showed off our instruments and played them together. Take a look below at the outcome!
