Dear Year 5 Pupils, Parents and Carers,
I hope you are all keeping well and safe at home.
As a mother of two young children, I have really enjoyed doing lots of arts and crafts these last two weeks. We have made an aeroplane out of an old nappy box, a dinosaur habitat out of used cereal boxes and painted a hungry caterpillar.
Now I would like you to put your creative hats on and take part in an art project; you do not need lots of resources, a pencil, paper and colouring pencils will do. I would like you to draw some colourful and joyful pictures that I will send to patients and workers at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in order to bring them some much needed cheer during these difficult times.
You can draw anything you like: flowers, animals and sea or landscapes are just a few suggestions for you. Alternatively, you could design, draw and write a thank you letter to the Key Workers employed at hospital who are working tirelessly to help and protect people.
Once you have finished, ask your adult to take a picture of your art or letter using the camera on their phone (if they have this facility) and email your work to:
workingtogether@bannockburn.greenwich.sch.uk
Subject line: Art in Year 5
I will pass these on to a nurse at the hospital and they will be displayed for patients and workers to enjoy.
I very much look forward to seeing your creations.
Stay safe,
Mrs Medlock
