Virtual Easter Bonnet Parade
Just because we’re stuck indoors doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun this Easter.
We’re inviting kids, big kids, the really bored, crafty types, fashionistas and wannabes to have a go at making or decorating a spring themed hat.
The rules are pretty relaxed – just use what you’ve got in the house, no need to make a special trip for supplies. Got a hat already and just want to decorate it – go for it! Feeling a bit arty and ready to make something from scratch – we can’t wait to see it! You’ve found a box that fits on your head – well get decorating! Only got enough stuff to make a teddy-sized hat – he’ll rock that look! Basically anything goes, as long as it goes on a head!
Once your creation is complete, take a picture of it (you or someone who lives with you can model it or if you’re a bit camera shy, just take a pic of the hat). Then post it on social media using #GreenwichParade or email your photo to events@royalgreenwich.gov.uk by 12 noon on Good Friday (10 April).
On Easter Sunday, we’ll post a virtual parade on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the Council website, so that we can all appreciate the creativity in our borough!
It’s simple:
1.) Make or decorate your spring themed hat
2.) Take a photo
3.) Post it on social media using #Greenwich Parade or email to events@royalgreenwich.gov.uk by 12 noon on Good Friday (10 April)
4.) Sit back and watch the parade online on Easter Sunday!
