Year 4 Exploring States of Matter Colloids

We have been exploring and trying to identify the states of matter of a variety of interesting substances. We used our knowledge from our previous lessons (properties of states of matter) to try and identify these substances. Once we had finished identifying the state of matter of each substance, we were told that the substances were in fact colloids, which are two substances that have been combined and then adopt properties of another state of matter, for example shaving foam which acts as a solid but is a liquid.
