Bannockburn's Eco Squad met recently to check how well each class was using their recycling bins. We carefully and safely inspected the recycling bins from years 3-6 and found that the following items were regularly being disposed incorrectly:
Tissues
Dried up pens and glue sticks
Unrecyclable plastic
Following our research, we made signs to stick by each bin, reminding the children (and adults) what can and cannot be placed in the recycling bins. We also spoke to our premises team about ordering non-recyclable bins for the two classrooms that were missing theirs.
