Reception - Family Fun with Apple Tree

During this half term, Apple Tree have been learning all about farm animals. This week we have been thinking about what baby animals are called. We started the week thinking about our own family, who lives with us and how each family is different. We were able to brainstorm all the baby animals we know and worked in pairs to match the baby animals to their mum or dad.

Towards the end of the week, Apple Tree have been using their sounds to write the name of the baby animals onto their whiteboards. We focused in particular on a baby goat and a baby pig. We are getting very good with out initial sounds and letter formation.
