This week in Spanish Year 3 took part in a vocabulary hunt around the Manor Way site. The Spanish clues were in different locations around the Manor Way site for example el estudio, el campo de fútbol, la sala de música and la oficina de los directores.
Once we worked out which location to visit, there we would find a Spanish noun phrase to add to our vocabulary sheet such as un horno, una batería, unos carillones and unas combas.
Then we used our completed sheets to build sentences using our key verb of this term "hay" which means 'there is' or 'there are' for example
En la cocina hay un horno.
En el campo de fútbol hay unas porterías.
En la sala de música hay uno carillones.
En los cobertizos hay una combas.
It was a great opportunity to learn outside of the classroom walls and we had a brilliant time!
