Last week, the Bannockburn Media Team met to investigate how reading The Happy News newspaper could increase our wellbeing. The Happy News is a printed newspaper which celebrates all that is good in the world.
We looked at the subscription costs and worked out that having one Happy News newspaper in each classroom would cost £255.36 per year. The children worked together, in mixed age pairs, to come up with fundraising ideas which they then wrote in letters to Mrs Ford and the Governors. We are looking forward to receiving our replies and running the chosen fundraiser along with the Fundraising Team later in the term.
