Some children in Year 2 had their first STEM extra curricular club this week. The first one was Science with Mrs Seeranj and the children learnt all about crystallisation. They talked about how evaporation occurs and then each made a jar with salt, hot water, a paperclip hung by string from a straw to see if they could make their own crystals. The children have taken them home and are keeping a close eye on them to see if crystals will appear and what shape crystals they will produce.
