In our History lesson this
week we learnt about crime and punishment during the Anglo-Saxons time.
We played the Saxon Crime and Punishment game where we had to pick a crime card, decide if we were guilty or not and then followed the path to find out if we had to pay a fine, be punished or undertake an ordeal for God to decide if we were guilty or not. It was a great way to learn about how the Anglo-Saxon justice system worked and how people were treated based on their status.
We then acted out scenarios of different crimes and the class had to decide what the punishment would be based on the Anglo-Saxon times.
