In English, our model text is about two children who are new to a school who meet and become friends. Using the 'Give One, Get One' activity, we split our boards into 8 and then thought of two things to describe each character. After, we went around the class to gather some words that we had not thought about.
We then took part in a drama activity where we had to imagine that they are sitting in class, just after Mr Walker has sat them together. The children had to think about - what will the characters talk about and how will the conversation might sound. The children really had to think about what it would be like to be that character and focused on using their words, facial expression and body language to be that person.
