This term, Year 6's Science topic is Evolution and Inheritance.
We kicked off our learning by visiting the Horniman Museum.
The children took part in a workshop where they were able to hand fossils, stuffed animals and bones!
The children were introduced to the concept of adaptation as they considered how the finches on the Galapagos Islands had changed over time.
They explored a range of different bird beaks and considered the diet they would be most suited to.
They also enjoyed looking at a range of fossils and matching them to the animal or organism they belonged to!
