Children in Year 1 enjoyed their practical lesson learning about different types of words. In the first instance children learned about adverbs and their purpose. Children found partners and together they acted out actions according to the adverbs. After that children learned about time adverbials to sequence events. They went on a scavenger hunt to find some to use in their diary writing.
