Tennis in Year 4!

In Year 4 PE, children are learning the importance of aiming their forehand shots in tennis to improve control and precision. To help them target specific areas of the court, children focus on where they want the ball to land, using their non-dominant hand to guide their body position. A key part of the lesson is teaching proper swing technique, ensuring the racquet face is angled correctly to direct the ball. By practicing consistency, children learn to adjust their aim depending on the ball’s speed and spin. This skill development will help them build confidence and improve their overall game. With each practice session, children are working on refining their control and accuracy. This focus on technique will provide a strong foundation for their tennis abilities in the future.
