As part of our learning about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD, we have developed our clay skills to create pots, similar to those found in Pompeii. We built upon our clay skills from Year 3 (where we learnt how to smooth clay) by learning how to use coiling to create a sturdy pot. Next, we will evaluate our final product, choosing whether to enhance it by adding a colour/varnish or not.
