Yesterday after school our newly formed football team played their first matches in The Meridian Girls Football League. Using the school minibus, we drove to the Meridian Sports Centre, which is located near the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
We played three matches against some other local primary schools within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Our first match was against Alexander McLeod Primary School. We won 1-0.
Our next match was against Southrise Primary School. We won 6-0.
And our final match was against Halstow Primary School, which we lost 1-0.
All our footballers played really well as a team, passing the ball and putting into practice the many skills which they are being taught by Mr Cody during their twice weekly football training at lunchtime.
